Passing or Falling Criteria

The myQtest examination system enables setting criteria for passing in four general ways:
a) scored points out of total possible points percentage represents the simplest passing criterion. In such a way it may be defined i.e. that for passing it is necessary to achieve 67% or total number of points,

b) scored points out of total possible points percentage by each complexity category of each question pool (that means that if a complex exam consists of 2 question pools, then for passing it is necessary to have i.e. at least 30% of number of points of easy questions of the first pool and at least 45% of number of points of medium complex questions of the second pool...) ,

c) scored points out of total possible points percentage of all questions and also minimum percentages by each complexity category of each question pool as in item B above,

d) scored points out of total possible points percentage of all questions or minimum percentages by each complexity category of each question pool as in item B above

By selecting the adequate passing criterion, it is possible to make use of the powerful infrastructure of the system which will evaluate the competence of the attendant for each particular application in the best way. It is particularly important to emphasize that the system enables giving negative points for wrongly answered questions which significantly disperses users depending on their knowledge, resp. intensifies the difference between attendants with knowledge and those without knowledge.

If some question is not answered resp. if answers are annulled, the system gives for such a question neither positive nor negative points. It is of course possible not to use negative points for wrong answers.
